Ibcp ($4.99) – the entire Book of Common Prayer 1979

iPray BCP($1.99) for traditionalists; uses several BCP editions – Morning and Evening Prayer are from the English 1662 edition; Midday prayers and Compline are from the Canadian 1962 BCP; the Psalter is the Coverdale translation.

Lectionary by Crushed Red Pepper ($.99) gives the Sunday readings including collect and alternate readings. Uses the BCP lectionary, the Episcopal Revised Common Lectionary, and one other.  Bible readings are from the New Revised Standard Version.  An in-app purchase gives you the daily office readings.

The Bible from YouVersion. Lots of translations, easy to read. Free.

Episcopal Calendar ($1.99) gives feasts, fasts, and minor saints days along with liturgical colors for the day. Mega Bible Maps ($1.99) has maps for any location named in the Bible.  It pins them to a satellite picture from Google Maps, and gives a description of each one.  You can browse by name, search by name, or browse by chapter of the bible. 

Prayer pro (free) a prayer request manager (your prayer list in cyberspace). An upgrade version ($1.99) is more robust with greater management capabilities

  1. Marjorie, I use “prayer” the daily office from Mission St. Claire and Prayer Partner to remind me of my intercessory prayers.
